In Bismarck-Mandan, every year, during the month of February, The Home Builders Association holds it Home Show. More than 200 vendors will be there displaying their skills, products, and ideas about building homes, subcontracing, and interior decorating. Many supplies and suppliers are displayed and discussed. This is a great place to visit if you are a home owner, plan to build a home soon, already build homes, or are just interested in how it is all done! Jamestown puts on their RV and Boat show during the month of February each year. This show occurs at the Civic Center which is jam-packed full of some really nice fishing boats, speedboats, pontoons, 5th wheel camper trailers, and beautiful new Recreational Vehicles that are all for sale at a seeminly reasonable price, if you are in the market. Each year the Black Hills Raptor show is held over the weekend. Some of the most beautiful Hawks, Owls, and other Birds of Prey are displayed, described, and discussed. This is an amazing show, so make sure you go!
In Devils Lake, every year toward the end of February, the ShiverFest takes place. Each year, the popularity of this physically thrilling event has increased! 2017 will be it's 17th Fest. This is an excellent time to get out with your family and enjoy a hockey tourney, some kite-flying with your friends, a competitive youth ice fishing tournament, or the challenge of hitting a golf ball through an ice course. There are more unusual but intriguing things to do including an ice rally cross contest, a motorcyle show, the ever popular sleigh rides, or an extreme game of hockey on the pond. In Valley City, every year, in March, usually during what has been termed "mud-season" because of the melting snow and many gravel roads, the North Dakota Winter Show takes place. There are many impressive and alluring vendors here during the daytime and evening, along with some very delicious food vendors offering unique treats and meals at a fair price. There are fascinating horse and cattle shows, as well as the ND State Crop Show going on at various times, and so much more! Don't miss the Beauty at the Rodeo Pageant!
